Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Review Widget platform and services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Review Widget ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Review Widget provides tools for local businesses to display Google review widgets on their websites, send review request links and QR codes to customers, and capture private feedback through a rating-gated flow. Features available to you depend on your subscription plan.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@reviewwidget.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or the business you represent.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed on a monthly basis via Stripe. Prices are displayed at checkout and on your billing page. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods.

If a payment fails, we will notify you by email. Continued failure to pay may result in suspension or downgrade of your account.

4. Free Trial

New accounts may receive a limited free trial. Trial periods are subject to change. At the end of the trial, your account will be downgraded to the free tier unless you have added a payment method and subscribed to a paid plan. One trial per business — trial abuse may result in account termination.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Collect, buy, or solicit fake reviews
• Violate Google's review policies or any applicable law
• Send unsolicited bulk messages (spam)
• Circumvent or abuse the rating-gate feature in misleading ways
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service or its underlying technology
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the data you upload or generate through the Service (business details, customer feedback, widget configurations). You grant us a limited license to store and process this data solely to provide the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to collect and store customer feedback submitted through your review request flows, and for complying with applicable privacy laws.

7. Google Reviews and Third-Party Data

Review Widget fetches publicly available Google review data via the Google Places API. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of this data. Google may change or restrict access to their APIs at any time. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

8. Uptime and Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and running but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure issues, or third-party outages may cause temporary unavailability. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime.

9. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Service, including the platform, code, branding, and documentation, are owned by Review Widget. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership rights in the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Review Widget shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Review Widget is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
